Commitments

1. Commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) (May 2022) - the international organization that aims to encourage companies to set science-based targets to mitigate climate change and transition to a Net-Zero economy, based on Paris Agreement goals. By May 2024, the PPC Group aims to have developed both short and long-term targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which will be evaluated and approved based on scientific criteria set by SBTi's Net-Zero Standard. The PPC Group has also joined SBTi’s Business Ambition for 1.5°C Campaign - the world’s largest and fastest-growing group of companies committing to the Net-Zero Standard to halve global emissions by 2030.

2. Commitment to the general principles of the UN Global Compact, (May 2022) - the largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative. PPC aims to integrate into its strategy, culture, and operations, fundamental responsibilities in the four areas of: human rights, work, environment, and anti-corruption, as expressed in the 10 Principles of UNGC.

3. Support of the Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) (May 2022). "Special Group on the Disclosure of Financial Information for the Climate" recommendations have been previously adopted, guided by a framework covering the four areas of: governance, climate strategy, risk and opportunity, and disclosure.
