1. Preparation and publication of an annual Sustainable Development Report based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. The report covers PPC S.A. main subsidiaries HEDNO and PPC Renewables, as well as consolidated data on specific indicators for all three Group companies.
2. Disclosure of our performance in ESG criteria indicators in accordance with the ESG Disclosure Guide of the Athens Stock Exchange (PPC since 2019, HEDNO since 2021, and PPC Renewables since 2021).
3. Measuring greenhouse gas emissions according to the internationally recognized Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) expands the range of emissions we record in more and more Group companies year after year.
More specifically:
- For 2020, we published complete Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions data for PPC and subsidiaries Lignitiki Megalopolis, Lignitiki Melitis and HEDNO; and several Scope 3 emissions categories for PPC and its subsidiaries Lignitiki Megalopolis and Lignitiki Melitis.
- For 2021, we calculated complete Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions data, as well as most of Scope 3 emissions categories for PPC, Lignitiki Megalopolis, and Lignitiki Melitis, as well as all emissions for HEDNO and PPC Renewables, - the Group’s two most significant subsidiaries.
- 2021 emissions for PPC, HEDNO, Lignitiki Megalopolis and Lignitiki Melitis were verified by a certified third party according to ISO-14064.
- In early 2023, we published consolidated 2021 data on greenhouse gas emissions for the aforementioned companies, and the Group 's foreign subsidiaries.
